Principle of Picosecond Nd:YAG Laser Machine

A picosecond laser is how long it takes the light to hit the skin and stay there -- picoseconds, or the duration (pulse width) of the pulse emitted by the light.

Because laser cosmetology is based on selective photothermal action to achieve the purpose of treatment: only on the target tissue (melanin) effect, and the other intact skin tissue does not produce obvious damage.

Therefore, the shorter the pulse width, the faster the speed, the less light energy diffused into the surrounding intact tissue, the more energy concentrated in the melanin, the stronger the effect on the melanin, and the less damage to the surrounding intact tissue.
