The HS-298N Picosecond Nd:YAG laser system combines picosecond and nanosecond pulse modes in a single unit, designed for tattoo removal clinics, dermatology practices, and medical aesthetic facilities. With dual pulse capabilities and a fractional lens array option, the equipment supports a range of aesthetic procedures from multi-color tattoo removal to skin resurfacing, enabling commercial users to expand service offerings through one platform.
Picosecond lasers deliver energy pulses measured in trillionths of a second. These ultra-short pulses generate a photomechanical effect that shatters target pigment particles into dust-sized fragments, which the body's lymphatic system then eliminates. Because the pulse duration is shorter than the thermal relaxation time of surrounding tissue, the procedure targets pigment while minimizing heat transfer to adjacent skin.
The HS-298N offers both picosecond and nanosecond pulse modes. Picosecond mode (300 ps or 450 ps pulse width) is used for tattoo ink fragmentation and pigmented lesion treatment, while nanosecond mode provides an alternative option for procedures where thermal effects are desired. This dual-mode configuration allows practitioners to select the appropriate pulse duration based on treatment goals.
The system supports spot size adjustment from 2-10 mm, with automatic energy density conversion as the spot size changes. This feature helps maintain consistent fluence levels across different treatment areas, from small targeted spots to larger regions.
Energy is delivered through a seven-joint articulated arm with 360-degree adjustability. The imported arm design provides stable beam delivery and flexible positioning, allowing operators to access treatment areas from various angles without repositioning the main unit.
